The Working Group and the OCEAN Board meeting will take place, on 8th and 9th May 2014, in Genoa
OCEAN Board meeting will include participation of Italian customs authorities on Europe Day.
Chairman Alfredo Tosato is looking forward to welcoming you in Genoa on Europe Day, 9th May 2014 – just two weeks before the EU Parliament elections.
The agenda for the Board meetings will touch on many important issues for ship suppliers. This will include the Treasurer’s Report, the Secretary-General’s Report, Activity Reports about Veterinary Affairs, Customs and VAT. There will be an update of the Union Customs Code, a discussion on a special customs procedure, “End-Use”, and we will ask the question if this is a genuine opportunity for ship suppliers.
The OCEAN Secretariat will also propose and ask if the OCEAN Board would be interested in carrying out an academic study of the ship supply industry, which has never been done before and can be an important tool for lobbying purposes. Finally, there will be, after lunch, a meeting with high-ranking regional customs officials and a discussion around the topic “ship supply is export”. We are looking forward to welcoming OCEAN deledates on 9th May 2014, in Genoa.
